Hello! My name is Kisha Love Lee Alston. I created Purpose Productions, now named Onyx Urban Media Group, which started in 2012 which is a media company  that offers videography & photography services, also an online radio station and an online magazine.

I started behind the camera at age 17 & fell in love immediately. I've gone on to work in television & radio such as WCDTV67, WPOL The Light, Armunda Hancock Inspirational TV & BET. I'd been given the opportunity to interview gospel celebrities such as Lee Williams, Kirk Franklin, Vicki Winans and more which inspired me years later to have my own interview show which I called Purpose TV. After watching my first season go through editing I fell in love with the process and decided to learn. After learning how to edit and produce videos I launched Purpose Productions was born.

After a year of starting Purpose Productions, I started Purpose Photography. In 2017 I won Photographer Of The Year at the Featured Highlight Awards, in 2018 won Producer Of The Year at the Featured Highlights Awards & am also a published photographer.

 

​In 2020, she was offered a radio show which I named Sensual Seductions for an internet radio station and 4 months later the station went on hiatus which crushed me. In searching for a new home for her radio show I decided to start my own internet radio station named Onyx Urban Radio, a station that caters to the black community where you can listen to music from Indie Artists and Podcasts.

In 2022, I launched Onyx Urban Magazine where I am currently the Editor-In-Chief, publisher, writer/interviewer, production manager and graphic designer and have a team of amazing writer that contribute their time and talents.

In 2023, I submitted my film "All My Might - A Story Of Domestic Violence" to my first film festival and it won for Best Drama at the Spring Lane Film Festival.

There are several major things on the horizon for me and the company and words can not express the gratitude I feel to do what I love everyday AND be recognized for it is so amazing.
